Pokhara
Pokhra is a name of the city, this name is come from the word " Pokhari" which mean pond in Nepali। This city is located in 200 km. west from Kathmandu & situated in the altitude of 835 m. above the sea level. pokhara is naturally beautiful city.we can enjoy the world famous Annapuran Himalayan ranges from the city. In the center of the Annapurna Himalayas there is a beautiful mount Machhapuchhre. Which is one of the four most beautiful mountains in the world. There are three beautiful lakes in Pokhara. Fewa lake, Begnas lake and Rupa lake.Fewa lake, the second largest lake in Nepal, measuring 1.5 r 4 km. in this lake we can enjoy the boating with the small & beautiful wooden boats. when the weather the is fine, we can also enjoy the view of reflection of the Annapurna Himalayan renge in the water of the lake. To take the real enjoyment of the Pokhara you have to stay here minumume 3 nigths stay. It is possible that you can enjoy the beautiful Himalayan views from the Pokhara.
What to see in the City:
Devi`s fall: It is the name of the water fall. We can find Hollow sandy part & a heavy fall of the water within its natural trench.
Seti Gorge: It is a mysterious wonder of Pokhara. Seti means white in Nepali River runs through the main city area in about 40 meters depth. The gorge is visible from the K. I. Singh bridge of the city.
Old bazer: Old bazar is the name of the area which was main market in the past time. This area was the center of the city. But now a days it is changed as touristic sight seen place. We can see here old traditional Newari houses.
World peace Pagoda: World peace pagoda is located on the neerest hill of the Fewa lake. This is the name of the Buddhist stupa. which has been constructed by the aid of the japanese buddhist group. During the fine weather we can enjoy the views of the Himalaya & view of the Fewa lake too.

Barahi Temple: Barahi temple is located on a small island in the middle of the lake Fewa. To visit this temple must use the boat from the lake.
International Mountain Museum: This is a International mountain museum. We can have so many information of the different mountains & world`s famous mountaineers & also can get the information of the mountains, which are more than 8ooo meters.
Regional Museum: In this museum, we can see different cultures and the traditional dress and ornaments of the different ethnic groups of the country.
Caves: there is a two famous caves in the Pokhara. One is the Mahendra Gupha & another is Gupteswor Gupha.
Sarankot: Saarankot is the name of the village which is 7 km. far from the lake side. And located in the altitude of 1590 meter. This village is very famous for the sun rise point of the Pokhara. We can enjoy the sunrise & beautiful Annapurna mountain view from this village.
